- Company distributors spread across the nation in remotest corners and it was very cumbersome to take offline orders
- Field sales force need to travel to each of these distributors regularly to punch orders which resulted in delays and huge travel costs
- Orders were then added to SAP system on return which took upto 72 hrs to taking the orders to adding to systems
- No visibility of order status to distributor/retailer hence no planning
